Dear
respected brothers! We were talking in our bangla khutba about the
foundation of worship, the weapons of mumin. The pillar of worship, the
backbone of the worship which is ad Dua/ prophet saw. said: “the Dua is the heart of the worship”
What’s
the Dua and why should we make Dua?
The Dua is the most powerful way to talk to Allah swt. and a strongest way to get closer to Allah swt. there is nothing like Dua to get you closer to Allah. When a person makes Dua it’s prove that he is needy to Allah and it defines that he has full trust on Allah swt. he dependant on Allah swt. and also, it proves that Allah is everything to him. He is the protector, he is the food provider, he is the lord of the universe. He is the one who can forgive all of your sins.

If we look the story of Adam when he realised that he made
wrongs. Immediately he turned to Allah and said o 'Our Lord! We have wronged
ourselves. If You do not forgive us and do not have mercy on us, we shall
surely be among the losers.' 7:23.
And if we look the shytan when he refused to bound Allah’s order to portrait Adam and when he realised he made wrong he still didn’t seek forgiveness for his arrogance and then Allah told him to get out from the Jannah and said you are one of the loser, You will be entered in hellfire with disgraced and humiliation. So, making Dua it’s the sign that you are following the teaching of Adam and not making Dua it’s the sign of arrogant and follower of shytan.
Allah swt saying ”And when My servants ask you about Me, I Am near; I answer the call of the caller when he calls on Me. So let them answer Me, and have faith in Me, that they may be rightly guided.(2:186)
Does every dua accepted to Allah swt.?
Every single dua will be answered. Allah must response when his servant make Dua he feel shy to reject it. Prophet sw saying................. so, don’t lose hope on Allah whatever sin you committed. Its kufri if you lose hope on Allah he said 39:53 “Tell them, (O Prophet): “My servants who have committed excesses against themselves, do not despair of Allah's Mercy. Surely Allah forgives all sins. He is Most Forgiving, Most Merciful.”
Allah swt. response every call of mumin he said in another verse ‘’tell them call Allah, he will response with your call’’
Now the question is why then sometimes we see Allah swt. doesn’t answer what exactly we want.?

There is a hadith prophet sw saying there are 3 way Allah swt.
response your Duas.
1. He
might give you directly what you want.
2. He might
replace it with something better than that like sometimes you wanted something
but didn’t get it and later you see this wasn’t good for you and your calls has
been replaced something better than that. Because Allah knows best what your
need So, call Allah o Allah give me that what is good for me.
3. Allah
might move away from you something you never want like accidents, losing
business, death of loved ones.
So, we shouldn’t lose hope on Allah swt. because every single dua will be answered.
So, we shouldn’t lose hope on Allah swt. because every single dua will be answered.
What
prevents the Dua to be accepted to Allah swt.?
There are few things that makes obstruction in between you and Allah.
There are few things that makes obstruction in between you and Allah.
1. Haram
sustenance until you leave that. Prophet saw. saying in a hadith “Allah swt. is pure from any Haram and he
doesn’t accept any impure thing. so, when someone calls by raising his hands to
Allah while his drinks, clothes, and his incoming sources are haram. How come
Allah swt will response his call?”
2. Seeking
sinful things and seeking to cut off relationship with your blood kinship.
Allah swt teaching us in the Quran how will we make duas. He saying to ask good
things "Our Lord! Give us in this world that which is good and in
the Hereafter that which is good, and save us from the torment of the Fire!" (2: 201)
How
should we make Dua?
Again if we look the story of Adam how desperately he made his Dua. he said O Allah I done Wrong myself. He was very crying, humble and very soft in his Dua. what Allah swt. teaching us in the Qur’an he saying “Call upon your Lord in humility and privately; indeed, He does not like transgressors.7:55.
In this verse Allah swt. giving the clue he saying make Dua with humility means show yourself you are nothong in front of him and secretly. Because the Dua it’s all about you and Allah no one else. When you will make the Dua in secretly you can be very desperate and fearing Allah without being distracted by others and also, you will be free from showing off which is called Ar-ria. There is a sahih hadith “if any ibadah associated with a tiny bit shirk it will be rejected”.

So, we got two ways from this verse that we should make Dua
which are: softly and secretly.
Another important way is calling Allah by his beautiful names like the way prophet Adam made .......which Allah swt teaching us “Allah has the most excellent names. So call on Him by His names and shun those who distort them” So, when we need wealth start asking by saying ya razzaq, ya muhaimin, when you need cure from illness call ya shaf’i.

Also, Allah swt. taught us how should we make dua for our family he
saying “who pray, "Our Lord, bless us
with wives and children, who may be the comfort of our eyes, and make us
leaders of the righteous."
(25:74)
And he saying make dua for your parents by saying “O My Lord! Have mercy on them both as they did care for me when I was little. (17:24)
Dear brothers! Du’a is the heart of the worship. Prophet sw saying ad dua hual Ibadah. Now let’s think how often we call Allah swt. or how sincerely we do it? Some of us we think the Dua should be only in Arabic so we buy some book of Dua from the shop and just recite like the bird parrot and can’t understand the meanings.

There is no one from the scholar of the world that saying the Dua
it has to be in Arabic. Allah swt knows every single language because, he
created all the languages. So, it should be that language you can tell your
needs to Allah swt. in excellent way. The words you are using to ask Allah swt.
they should come from your heart not only from your mouth. Dua can be made in
any language.
Some of us we think let’s ask Imam to make dua
for me or for my parents who passed away and that’s all. Yes, you can ask
someone to make Dua for you but at the same time you should make Dua for
yourself and for your parents.
Let’s make Dua for ourselves and each-other. You never know the
power of Dua how it will make your changes. Allah swt. very closed to us he
wants us to make Dua to him and he become happy when we make dua immediately
after making wrong ourselves. He wants us to be forgiven and to have Jannah. He
doesn’t want us to be humiliated in front of kuffar on the day judgment. What
he saying..o believers “And
rush towards forgiveness from your Lord, and towards a Paradise that can hold
all the heavens and the earth in its width – prepared for the pious”(3:133)
In this verse Allah swt saying where are you? Come
towards me, I’ll forgive you. it’s like a mother the way she try to save her
kids from any possible dangers when she say to her kids stay home! Don’t go
outside! It’s not safe for you!
