The prayer-2(why we have to pray+punishment+how should it be performed and where?)

Dear brothers! From last week we were  talking  about one of the most important and one of the basic IBADAH the prayer.

last week we talked about Why we pray or why we have to pray?

1.the prayer its a proof of our belief:

After declaring the kalimah, declaring ourselves as a muslim our job is not done, not yet. until we prove it. our good deeds/actions will prove our eeman. To make difference between the believers and non-believers the most basic way is the prayer.

2. the prayer it wash away our sins:

Everyday intentionally or unintentionally  we are committing many sins  some are big(the kabira) and some are the small (the sagirah). But, When we pray Allah forgives all our sagira the small sins and if we make sincere repentence for the kabira sins Allah will forgive them too. In a hadith prophet sw. Saying “if anyone has a canal or river in his door and if he take bath five times a day will it be left any dirty in his body? The companion of prophet sw. Replied, no. Then he said the five times prayer its like a river when a person prays regularly five times the prayers will wash away all his small sins.”

And Allah swt. saying “surely prayer keeps (one) away from indecency and evil” 29:45

Also last week we talked about the rewards of the prayer. today, inshallah we will discuss What’s the punishment of not performing the prayer?

On the day of judgment the first question will be about the prayer:

what prophet sw. Saying narrated by abu hurayrah he said i heard from prophet sw he said: “on the day of judgment the first question will be about the prayer from the person’s deeds. And if he pass this question he will be successful and will be forgiven from hell fire but, if he can’t pass he will be a failiure in rest of the questions and he will be loser.” (Tirmizi)

1. On the day of judgment they will be with kafir(non-believers):

Prophet sw saying narrated by abdullah ibn umar; he said: “ whoever won’t serve the prayer regularly, on the day of judgement the prayer wont help him by giving light, being a witness for him and wont save him from hellfire. He will be with the kafiir haman, qaroon,firaun and ubai ibne khalf”daremi bayhaqi, tirmizi.
Also, Allah swt. Saying 74: 42-43.“What has brought you into hell?They shall say: We were not of those who prayed”

2.they should get punishment in this world:

imam abu hanifa saying those who doesn’t pray first let them make repentence and then put them in jail or hit them. And imam malek and shafei saying  let them to make repentence otherwise kill them.(muslim sharah labbi, 1^st part)

now the question is How should we perform the prayer? How was the prophet’s prayer?

@ we have to be very humble and devoted:
the prayer is a most basic Ibadah. This is why shytan try to prevent us to pray first and when he fail  to prevent us from praying lastly he comes and tries to divert us from the prayer while we are praying. Shytan doesnt let us to pray with khushu’ and khuju.

But, Allah swt  Commanding  “serve the prayers and stand before Allah like a devoted servent” 2:238.

In Another verse Allah swt. “Successful indeed are the believers. Who are humble in their prayers” 23:1,2.
so, this is very important to be humble and devoted in our prayers. Otherwise, the prayers not gonna be accepted to Allah swt.

we have a common question why cant we consentrate or how can will we be humble and devoted in the prayers?

1.take a proper preparation for the prayer:
like, wating for the prayers, doing miswak, proper ablution, nice clothes (a’raf 31), answering the adhan, making dua in between adhan and iqamah, straitening the saffs/the lines.

2.try to understand what you are saying and think you are infront of Allah: 
The prayers  means you are talking to Allah swt. This is why prophet sw. Said ”when you are praying think you can see Allah swt. If you cant see Allah swt. Then think Allah swt. Looking at you”

and another thing what you are reciting you should try to understand like when reciting a verse or saying sobhana rabbial azim, samiallahu liman hamidah.
 38:29 “We have sent down a Book to you which is blessed, so that people may apply their minds to its revelations, and the men of wisdom may reflect”

 

3.The prayer should be performed slowly and properly:

“The great thief are those who steal thier prayer. He asked whats the meaning of thief of prayer he said who doesn’t do ruku and sijdah properly”

4.Finally,  we have to pray the way prophet sw prayed. We cant make any choice. What prophet sw. Said  “pray the way i pray”
in another hadith “whoever will follow a way which is not my way its wont be consider a way of me and it will be rejected”

 

Where should be perfomed the prayers and which prayers?

There are two type of prayers: FARD and wajib,sunnah and nawafil.

1.The fard prayers in the mosque. Its wajib to pray with jama’ah.
prophet sw. Saying. “The prayer with jama’ah its 27 fold more rewards then the prayer without jama’ah”
in another hadit narreted by anas RA. ”whoever will pray 40days continusly with takbire ula; Allah swt. Will take awy two things from him: 1.Allah swt. Will save him from hypocricy 2. save him from the jahannam”

 

2. sunnah and nawafil prayer should be performed in the home.
Why the sunnah and nawafil are best or prophet sw. preferred to pray in home?

There are two reason:
1^st there is no chance to get influenced by shytan to make us to think showing off.

2^nd prophet sw. Said not to make your home grave.
he said "pray  some of your prayer in your house and don't make your house like a grave"

Another question is why we should be very careful about the nawafil prayer?

There are Two reason to pray more the nawafil prayers:
1.To get closer to Allah swt. Prophet sw saying in every last night allah swt. Comes to the earth and he call to people o you who are calling me i’ll response your call, o you who are seeking help i will help you, o you who seeking forgiveness i will forgive you”

2. To make compensation if there is any wrong with the fard prayers or if the prayer performed in wrong way. What Allah saying  17:79 “And rise from sleep during the night as well- this is an additional Prayer for you”

Brothers! if we do the prayer regularly we will be safe in the hereafter we dont have to be worried. so, if we want to have peacefull life after death there is no way but we should start to pray regularly and from today.
on the day of judgement where there is no one be able to help us by giving some rewards but, only our IBADAH, good deeds will help us.

The prayer/the salah a proof of our EEMAN and the rewards of the prayer.

To prove our eeman, to make clear, to make ourselves different from  the kuffar. To make difference in between the believers and non-believers the most basic way is the prayer. What prophet sw. saying in a hadith narrated by buraidah RA. He saying prophet sw said: “between us and them(the hypocrite muslims) the agreement is the PRAYER. So, whoever will leave the prayer he will be a kafir”

so, this is the one of the reason we have to pray its because the prayer is an evidence of our eeman.

 on the other hand, if we do the prayer regularly we will be safe in the hereafter we don't have to be worried. so, if we want to have peaceful life after death there is no way but we should start to pray regularly and from today.
on the day of judgement where there is no one be able to help us by giving some rewards but, only our IBADAH, good deeds will help us.

Now the question is how the prayer will help us on the day of judgement? Or what's is The rewards of the prayers??

In many hadiths prophet sw. Said the rewards of the prayers.  In one hadith he said “whoever will serve the prayer which means on regular basis, on the day of judgement the prayer will be a light an evidence to get forgiveness from Allah swt.” (Ahmed daremi and bayhaqi)

In another hadith prophet sw. giving the glad tiding news. He saying about the five most significant rewards. Whoever serve the prayer regularly Allah swt. Will honour him with 5 great rewards:

1. Allah swt. Will make easy for him the sakratul azab/ the painful moment of the death:

The moment of the death it’s the first stage of akhirah if anyone can pass this stage easily there is hope that he can pass the rest of the stages. The moment of death it’s uncompairable with any trouble of this Dunia.

 Prophet swt. Saying when the azraeel come to take the person’s soul if the person is not good he will see the azraeel with a black, dangerous  and terrifying  looks and his soul will be scared and will try to hide inside his body. But, the azraeel will take it out so roughly like something chopping off from a person’s body.

 On the other hand if that person are good i mean on the earth he was pious and he avoided what supposed to be avoided and deed good deeds. He will see the azraeel with a nice such a beautiful looks like no one seen that before and then azraeel take his soul easily like the water come out from a bottle when tilt it and he not going to  get any hearts but, he will be treated as a guest of Allah swt.
So, a good doers i mean who pray regular basis. His moment of death will be easy without any trouble.

2. Allah will forgive his punishment of the grave:

When a person die Allah swt. Starts to give his rewards or punishment. A good doers will be treated as guest of Allah swt. And a wrong doers will be treated so roughly. When a person buried and then when his relatives went out two angels will come and will ask three questions but, the person if he is not good doers i mean he wasn't used to do five time prayers he wont be passed that questions and he will reply I don't know i don't know an announcer will shout and say he is lying he knew everything the ulamaa informed him of these punishment but, he didn't believe. he ignored it. And then finally, the grave will press him from his side to side and that persons bodes bone will be broken so brutally. And then another blind, deaf angel will come with such a big hammer and will beat him until the day of ressurection.

That's what will happen in the grave to a wrong doers means who not used to pray regularly.so, if we want to avoid the torment of the grave we should start to pray from today. No more ignoring.  14:27 “God will strengthen the believers with His steadfast word, both in the present life and in the Hereafter. God lets the wrongdoers go astray. He does what He wills”

3. Allah will give him his records in his right hands:

Everyday whatever we are doing two angels  are recording everything  to show them on the day of joudgment. the angel names kiraman katibeen 50:17 “Moreover, there are two scribes, one each sitting on the right and the left, recording everything”
that records they will present  them on the day of judgement. If a person get  that records in his rights hands he will be able to enter to the jannah and a tiny bit won’t be changed  whatever he did he will see it in his records book  99:7,8. “whoever has done the smallest particle of good will see it; while whoever has done the smallest particle of evil will see it”

 and he will show that records to others 69:19,20,21  “So whoever is given his book in his right hand – he will say, “Take, read my account!” . “I was certain that I will confront my account. ” He is therefore in the desired serenity.21”

on the other hand whoever will have that records in his left hands he will be loser. what Allah stating in the Qur’an 69: “And whoever is given his book in his left hand – he will say, “Alas, if only my account were not given to me!” (25) “And had never come to know my account!” (26) “Alas, if only it had been just death.” (27) “My wealth did not in the least benefit me.” (28) “All my power has vanished.” (29) It will be said, “Seize him, and shackle him.” (30) “Then hurl him into the blazing fire.” (31) “Then bind him inside a chain which is seventy arm-lengths.” (32) “Indeed he refused to accept faith in Allah, the Greatest.” (33)

So the prayer is the one of the way to get that records in our right hands.
4. Passing the pool-sirat with a lightening on the sky:

 What is the Pool-Sirat?
The Pool-Sirat is a bridge, which runs across Jahanam. Everyone will pass across this bridge to enter paradise. The non-believer or those who failed the test will fall into the fire whilst the good Muslims will pass across it very quickly and enter paradise.

The bridge has been described in a Hadith as being sharper than a sword and thinner than a hair. After the judgement people will be informed to go jannah or jahannam on the way they will find that bridge and only they will be able to pass those who prayed regularly and deed good deeds and repent for their sins.

5. Allah will let a person to enter to the jannah without counting a person’s record:

People will be all in a very worried state on that day. They will think that they should have spent their time on earth more wisely and spent following Allah's laws. The mother, who is so caring for her children, will be more worried about herself then her children.

People will ask each other for good deeds and help but everyone will be too worried for themselves. People will feel that they had only spent a few hours on Earth when in actual fact they had spent maybe 50 or 60 years.

 

 

 

 

 

অধ্যায় ০৫ : বই-নোট (সাফল্যের শর্তাবলী)

 

ভূমিকা: - ইসলামী সমাজ প্রতিষ্ঠার আন্দোলনে অবতীর্ন হওয়ার মাধ্যমেই আখেরাতে আলাহর সন্তুষ্টি অর্জন নির্ভরশীল। আর যারা সত্যিই একটি আদর্শ ইসলামী সমাজ কায়েম করতে চায় তাদেরকে সর্বপ্রথম নিম্নপ্রদত্ত দিক গুলো সম্পর্কে সচেতন হতে হবে।

১. হতাশার দিক।
২. আশার দিক।
৩. করণীয় দিক।

- হতাশার দিক:

১. আমাদের জাতির মধ্যে ইসলামী সমাজ প্রতিষ্ঠার আগ্রহ ও উদ্যোগ গ্রহনের অভাব এবং তার চাইতেও বেশী অভাব যোগ্যতার।
২. আমাদের সমাজের প্রভাবশালী অংশ অধিকাংশ ক্ষেত্রে সমাজে বিকৃতি ও ভাঙ্গন সৃষ্টিতে মুখর।
৩. নির্বাচনে জনগনকে প্ররোচিত করা (নির্ভূল নির্বাচনে যোগ্য প্রার্থী না হওয়ার জন্য জনগনকে প্ররোচিত করে)

- আশার দিক: -

১. সমাজে কিছু সৎলোক আছে, যাদের আগ্রহ ও যোগ্যতা আছে।
২. জাতি সামগ্রিক ভাবে অসৎ প্রবন নয়। প্রচেষ্টা চালালে এরাও আন্দোলনের সমর্থক হতে পারে।
৩. বিকৃতির কাজে যারা লিপ্ত তারা দুটি গুন অর্জন করতে পারেনা

ক) চারিত্রিক শক্তি
খ) ঐক্যের শক্তি / নৈতিক শক্তি

- করনীয় দিক চারটি:

১. আবেগ বর্জিত ধীর ও সুস্থ সিন্ধান্ত।
২. হঠাৎ ফল পাওয়ার মানসিকতা পরিহার।
৩. সুশিক্ষিত কর্মী বাহিনী গঠন।
৪. ব্যক্তি গঠন।

গ. কিছু লোককে বুদ্ধিজীবি হতে হবে।
ঘ. জাহেলিয়াত ও ইসলামের মধ্যে পার্থক্য করার জ্ঞান থাকতে হবে।
ঙ. ইসলামের আলোকে সমস্যা সমাধানের জ্ঞান থাকতে হবে।
চ. সমাজকে ইসলামের আলোকে ঢেলে সাজাবার জ্ঞান থাকতে হবে।


২. ইসলামের প্রতি অবিচল বিশ্বাস

ক. দোদুল্যমান অবস্থায় কাজ করা যায় না
খ. যাবতীয় ইসলামী বিষয়গুলির উপর নি:সংশয় হওয়া
গ. সত্য মিথ্যার মানদন্ড ইসলাম, একথা বিশ্বাস করতে হবে

৩. চরিত্র ও কর্ম

ক. নিজেকে দাওয়াতের সাক্ষী বানাতে হয়
গ. সত্যের পথে অবিচল থাকা
ঘ. নিছক ইসলামের প্রতি ভালবাসা দিয়ে এ গুনের ঘাটতি পূরণ
ঙ. দ্বীন হচ্ছে জীবনোদ্দেশ্য
চ. দ্বীন কায়েম নিছক একটি কাজ নয় বরং এটিই হবে মুমিন জীবনের একমাত্র লক্ষ্য
ছ. দৃঢ় সংকল্প থাকতে হবে
জ. এ গুন ছাড়া কোন কাজে হাত দেয়া যায় না
ঝ. সঙ্ঘবদ্ধ হয়ে কাজ করতে হবে

- দলীয় গুনাবলী ৪টি:

১. ভ্রাতৃত্ব ও ভালবাসা

ক. ত্যাগের মানসিকতা
খ. পরস্পরের কল্যাণ কামনা করা
গ. আন্তরিকতা
ঘ. এ ধরনের সম্পর্কে বা ভ্রাতৃত্বে শয়তান ফাটল ধরাতে পারে না

২. পারস্পরিক পরামর্শ

ক. কাজ করতে হবে পরামর্শের ভিত্তিতে
খ. সেচ্ছাচারী বেশি দিন টেকে না
গ. পরামর্শে কয়েকটি সুবিধা রয়েছে

- পরামর্শের সুবিধা -

ক. ঈমানের সাথে মত দেয়া
খ. মনের মধ্যে কিছু লুকিয়ে না রাখা
গ. জিদ বিদ্বেষের আশ্রয় না নেয়া
ঘ. সংখ্যাধিক্যের মতকে মেনে নেয়া
ঙ. দলীয় সিদ্ধান্ত বাস্তবায়নে অংশ গ্রহণ করা

৩. সংগঠন ও শৃখংলা

ক. সংগঠনের অভাবে উদ্দেশ্য পূরণ হয় না
খ সংগঠনের নির্দেশ মেনে চলা দরকার
গ. অর্পিত দায়িত্ব যথাযথভাবে পালন করা
ঘ. পরস্পরের সহযোগী হওয়া
ঙ. মেশিনের মত কাজ করা

৪. সংস্কারের উদ্দেশ্যে সমালোচনা

ক. যতই নিষ্ঠা থাকুক দূর্বলতা থাকবেই
খ. নিরব দর্শক হলে দূর্বলতা বৃদ্ধি পায়
গ. সমালোচনা দাবিয়ে রাখা ঠিক নয়
ঘ. যথাযথ পদ্ধতি অবলম্বন করতে হবে

- পূর্ণতা দানকারীর গুনাবলী ৫টি:

১. খোদার সাথে যথাযথ সম্পর্ক ও আন্তরিকতা

ক. দ্বীন কায়েমের জন্য এটি অপরিহার্য
খ. আল্লাহকে সবচেয়ে বেশি ভাল বাসতে হবে
গ. কোন কিছুর লোভ/ভয় না করা
ঘ. সৎ কাজের প্রেরণা আসে আল্লাহর সাথে সম্পর্ক থেকে
ঙ. আল্লাহর আদেশ নিষেধ মেনে চলা
চ. অন্তরে জবাবদিহীর ভয় থাকে
ছ. সকল দুনিয়াবী স্বার্থ ত্যাগ করা

২. আখিরাতের চিন্তা

ক. লক্ষ্য থাকবে কেবল আখিরাত
খ. আখেরাতের সাফল্যই চুড়ান্ত সাফল্য, সকল কাজে এই চিন্তা থাকা
গ. দুনিয়া প্রীতি দূর করা
ঘ. আখেরাতের শাস্তি ও পুরস্কারের কথা চিন্তা করা

৩. চরিত্র ও মাধুর্য

ক. মানবতার সেবক হতে হবে
খ. কোমল স্বভাবের অধিকারী হতে হবে
গ. নিজের দোষত্রুটি খুজতে হবে
ঘ. মাফ করার মানসিকতা থাকা
ঙ. চরিত্র ও মাধুর্য্য দিয়ে সব কিছু জয় করা

৪. ধৈর্য্য

ক. সকল কাজে ধৈর্যশীল হওয়া
খ. চেষ্টার ফল তাড়াতাড়ি পাওয়ার চেষ্টা না করা
গ. বার বার ব্যর্থ হয়েও পরিশ্রম থেকে বিরত না হওয়া
ঘ. নফসের খারাবীর বিপক্ষে থেকে নিজেকে মুক্ত করা
ঙ. নিজ কর্তব্য সম্পাদন করা

৫. প্রজ্ঞা

ক. অনুধাবন, বিশ্লেষণ ও সিদ্ধান্ত গ্রহণ
খ. সার্বিক পরিস্থিতির উপর সজাগ দৃষ্টি
গ. কাজের সমস্যা প্রজ্ঞার উপর নির্ভরশীল
ঘ. পরিস্থিতি নজর রাখা
ঙ অন্ধের মত কাজ না করা

- প্রদর্শনেচ্ছা থেকে বাচার উপায়:-

১. ব্যক্তিগত প্রচেষ্টা
২. সামষ্টিক প্রচেষ্টা

মানবিক দূর্বলতা ১৩টি:

১. আত্মপূজা
২. আত্মপ্রীতি
৩. হিংসা ও বিদ্বেষ
৪. কুধারণা
৫. গীবত
৬. চোগলখোরী
৭. কানাকানিও ফিস্ফিসানী
৮. মেজাজের ভারসম্যহীনতা
৯. একগুঁয়েমী
১০. একদেশদর্শীতা
১১. সামষ্টিক ভারসম্যহীনতা
১২. সংর্কীনমনতা
১৩. দূর্বল সংকল্প

The Eidul adha'13

dear brothers! Today we are celebrating by the grace of Allah swt. One of the greatest festival of islam. Eidul adha the festival of sacrifice which is also known Eidul kabir (the great eid). It is a day of joy and celebration, a day to show happyness and delight, a day in which we renew our faith.

But, those who has the ability to do the qurbani but,not doing the qurbani. the Eid is not for them and there is nothing benificial for them those who is not doing qurbani although they are obliged to do it. Prophet sw. Saying narreted by abu huryrah ”who is capable financially to do qurbani but, didnt he shouldnt come to nearby our eid prayer.”(ibn majah).

 

Dear brothers! Every nation has made up thier own festivals and celebrations. But, muslim we got two festivals in a year and we didn’t made them ourselves. We got them from Allah swt. As a gift. When prophet sw. Migrated to madinah he found that the natives of madinah the answer sahabah had two days of celebrations. The prophet sw. Asked what are these two days? They replied: they are the two days which we used to celebrate during the jahiliyah/the period before islam. And then The prophet sw. Said: Allah has replaced you with two better days; the day of eid-ul-fitr and the eidul adha.

 Now the question is whats the eid? Whts the purpose of eid?  The celebration of eid has great meaning and serve a great purpose. The eid comes to us to make the muslim commonity united and increase love amongst us and it comes to us to make us to forget if there is any conflict in between us and makes the muslim brotherhood stronger like we all are brothers and equal. Also, it comes to be  kind to the needy and poor.

This is why The celebration of eid is greatly diffrent from non muslim festival. Another important purpose is, we are not celebrating only for fun and entertainment but, we celebrate to worship Allah sw. The celebration of eid is really a way in which we thank to Allah sw. For his infinite blessing seen and unseen.

The eid is the day of devotion: celebration in the name of Allah and devoting oneself completely to the almighty.

Brothers! Alhamdulillah after the eid prayer we are going to do the qurbani. The Qurbani is one of the best worship which is one of the great actions of pilgrims. today all the hajji are doing the qurbani and partly we are just following them. what allah swt. saying..108:2"so pray to your lord and sacrifice" Prophet sw. said Narreted by aiysha RA. He said.. “on the day of  eid ul adha the sacrificing animal is the best good action to allah swt.”

Qurbani is a demonastration of total submission to allah swt. And a proof of complete obedience to allah’s will or command. When a muslim offers a qurbani this exactly what he intends to prove. The qurbani signifies that we are a slave of Alla swt at our best. This is exactly prophet ibrahim aw. Did. Apperently, there wasn’t any reason why a father should sloghter his innocent son. But, when came the command from Allah swt. He never asked about the reason for that command nor did he hasitate to follow it.

The ibadah of  Qurbani is among the shi’aar (distinguishing features) of Islam and its not new to us it has an obligation  before us. 22:34 “And for every nation We have appointed a sacrifice, that they may mention the name of Allah over the inarticulate animal which He has provided them for food”

In last week we talked the qurbani we do its the sunnah of ibrahim aw. Allah wt. orderd IBRAHIM in his dream to sloughter his own son ISMAEEL aw. when they both agreed and went to the field to sloughter then Allah called him and said “O ibrahim i accpted your sacrifise” and “it was a test for you”. you both have passed and then Allah gave an animal like a ram which they sloughtered that. Allah liked thier sacrifise very much and made this sacrifice/the qurbani a sunnah for the next genaration. "And We kept his praise among the later generations" 37:108

So, this is how we got the qurbani.

Wht is the teaching of the qurbani of ibrahim aw.? Why Allah swt. Telling us this story?

THE LESSON OF THE QURBANI: this is very important to know whtas  the lesson of qurbani?

1.ibrahim aw. He didnt raise any question to follow Allah’s commandment why he has to do the qurbani his own son:
so, The lesson of qurbani of ibrahim is for myself and you; we have to follow or obey Allah’s all kind of commands without making any question / excuses. without saying why and for what? Also, we have to avoid what he forbiden for us to do. also, sholudnt think; how will we be benifited by this in this world?

 

2. we  shouldnt look for which commandments are easy and which one hard. Easy or hard for me whatever order comes we should obey them without spending any words. We should think even if we die by doing his commands still we have do it. And also. Keep hope and faith on him. If any difficulties comes they all coming from Allah for a test for my eeman.

 

Alhamdulillah those who we are going to do qurbani there some rules regarding the qurbani which some of them we talked in last week and there are few more importants rules  what we have to know before going to do qurbani.

1. the time of qurbani: it starts after eid prayer untill the sunset 12^th  of zulhajja. So, if anyone does qurbani before the pryer and after the 12^th zulhajja it will be a sloghtering an animal to eat the meats and the obligation of qurbani wont be comleted .

2.keeping the meat of the qurbani in the fridg its Allowed to save even for a year.but, the sunnah is some should be given to the poor and relatives.

3.after eid not involving in any bad habits like watching bad tv programmes which will be broadcast on bengali tv’s.also, we have to be carefull about our kids.

4.lastly pure intention: before going to do qurbani what we have to remember is we have to have a pure intention that the qurbani only for the sake of allah swt. There are some of us we dont know even for what reason  we are doing the qurbani and what does it mean. we just do it to show off to others. But, if there is a tiny bit of showing off came with your qurbani it will be rejected instead of accepeted to Allah sw. Coz, Allah doesnt need the blood of the animals or meat he just want to see our intention. What he said in the quran” never does thier flesh nor thier blood reach Allah swt. But, your piety successfully reaces him” 22:37

May Alla give us tawfiq to follow the lesson of the qurbani in our practical life!

 

 

The Qurbani (those who are obliged to do qubani and some rules regarding qurbani)

(this khutba delivered on just before the eid ul adha'13)dear brothers! today 6th of zulhijjah and on 10th(tuesday) of zulhijjah we are going to celebrate one of the greatest festival of Islam the Eid-ul-adha means the joyous day of blood sacrifice.

in last week we were talking this is the month of zulhajjah. one of the greatest month,the month of HAJJ. the first 10 days of this month the good actions are superior to then any other days. prophet sw. mantioned in a hadith the rewards of the good deeds will consider better then the fighting in the field of bettale for the sake of Allah swt.

this is a great opportunity to those who couldnt manage to go to the hajj this year. during these 10 days we can get closer to Allah swt. Like a HAJI by doing extra nafl prayer, reciting qur'an, giving charity, keeping fast specially, on the day of Arafah prophet sw. said..."whoever does fast on the day of ARAFAH the 9th of zulhajjah Allah will forgive his all the sins what he did in previous and up coming year".

 dear brothers! Allah swt. gave us opportunity to do worship him in various ways so we dont feel bored. one of the best worship is QURBANI which is one of the great good deed of these blessed 10 days. what allah swt. saying..108:2"so pray to your lord and sacrifice"
 

the ‘Qurbani’ is an Urdu and Persian word derived from the Arabic word "Qurban" which literally means an act performed to seek Allah’s pleasure. It is technically used for the sacrifice of an animal slaughtered for the sake of Allah. 

Qurbani it is a demonstration of total submission to Allah and a proof of complete obedience to Allah’s will or command. When a Muslim offers a ‘Udhiya’ this is exactly what he intends to prove. Thus, the ‘Udhiya’ offered signifies that he is a slave of Allah at his best. And that he would not hesitate even for a moment once he receives an absolute command from his Creator to surrender before it, to obey it willingly, even if it be at the price of his life and possessions.

the history of qurbani:

the Qurbani is not new to us. Allah swt. made it obligatory to every nations before us. it started from the biggining of the mankind. The first qurbani was taken from Habil(abel) and Qabil(cain) the son of adam. when they sacrifise thier Qurbani Allah swt. didnt accept ones but, other. most of the book of tafseer mantioning that story that at the biggining of the time there was a rules that the son of adom they can get married thier sibbling as there wasn't any other option eccept them and they cant get married to thier twin sister and they have to marry one year apart to their sister. when the habil was born his twin sister wasnt beutifull and according to the rule qabil  meant to get married to the Habil twin sister and habil meant get married to the qabil twin sister but,   qabil wanted to get married to his twin sister because,  qabil twin sister was beatifull but, the rule wasnt favour to him. but, still he wanted to get married his twin sister.

when they went  to adam to resolve the solution adom said you both do the qurbani whose qurbani will be  accepted. he can get married to the beautifull sister but, Allah swt. didnt  accept qabils qurbani still he wanted to get married to his twin beautifull sister and then he killed HABIL.that story  allah swt. mantioning  in the quran 5:27 "(Muhammad) tell them the true story of the two sons of Adam (Abel and Cain). Each one of them offered a sacrifice. God accepted the sacrifice of one of them (Abel) but not that of the other (Cain) who then said to his brother, "I shall certainly kill you." (Abel) replied, "God only accepts the offerings of the pious ones.

this is how qurbani started and the qurbani we do its the sunnah of ibrahim aw. Allah wt. orderd IBRAHIM in his dream to sloughter his own son ISMAEEL aw. when they both agreed and went to the field to sloughter then Allah called him and said i accpted your sacrifise and it was a test for you. you both have passed and then Allah gave an animal like a ram which they sloughtered that. Allah liked thier sacrifise very much and made this sacrifice/the qurbani a sunnah for the next genaration. Allah saying  "And We kept his praise among the latter generations" 37:108

who is obliged to do udhyah/the qurbani? whos qurbani doesnt accept to Allah swt?

is obligated by Allah upon every Muslim, male and female, who is  financially capable. Financially capable means not only those who has the nesaab of zakat but also who is rich which means the person who has that much money to do qurbanai after his all other expenses.

another important thing is  whose qurbani doesnt accept to allah swt.?  allah swt. doesnt accept the qurbani if there is not pure intention.  qurbani has to be performed only for the sake of allah swt. this is another important thing. there are some people they do the qurbani only for the showing off.  allah saying 22:37 "Never does their flesh nor their blood reach Allah, but your piety successfully reaches Him"

now the another question is; is it sunnah or wajib?
there are two opinions

first one is: its sunnah the opinion from imam maliq and shafei thier refference is Prophet sw. saying narreted by umme salma RA. “When the first 10 days of the month of zilhajj starts, who wish to do qurbani He shouldn't cut his hair not to touch his skin to beautify himself”

in this hadith the words "wish to do qurbani" which doesnt make any obligation.

 second opinion is its wajib. said imam abu hanifa and some other scholler thier refference is Allah swt. saying.. 108:2 "so pray to your lord and sacrifice"
they saying Alla's saying makes things an obligation.

Hazrat Ibn Umar reports that the Messenger of Allah lived in Madinah Munawarah for ten years and performed ‘Qurbani’ every year. (muslim)

dear brothers! there are  some rules regarding the qurbani what we have to know before going to do qurbani.

1. the animals has to be free from 4 kind of faults.

blindness, illness, disability  and injured animal.

2. animals age: animal age are another  important issue. the camel has to be 5 years old,cow 2 years and goat or ram 1 years old.

3. whose qurbani its sunnah to zabeh by his own hand and presents infront of the qurbani and also, its compulsory to say bismillahi allahu akber.

4. qurbani in the name of your death relatives there are little disagreement with the scholler some saying its not allowed and some saying its allowed. so, its safe to give all the meats to the poor from part of the death person.

5. Its sunnah to give some meats from your qurbani to the poor and some to your relatives. Allah saying.. 22: 28

6. if you give qurbani in one or two name. make intention that the qurbani is from your hole family. in shallah! allah will give you the rewards.
 

dear brothers! in shalla on tuesday we will celebrate the EID ul adha. there are some important sunnah which we should know before going eid prayer.

1. its sunnah those who are intending to do the qurbani  not to cut hair or nails or not beautify themeselves befor the qurbani.

2. on eid day its sunnah to have a bath  and wear a nice clothes, use halal perfume or atr.

3. on eid day if possible its sunnah to come to pray eid prayer by foot  and coming one way and going other way.

4. saying takbir a bit loudly when coming to masjid.

5. it is sunnah not to eat anything before EID prayer.
so, these are the sunnah of eid

another important thing is on the day of Aiame tashrik it is wajib to recite takbir from this monday fazar to friday asor prayer for men and women and every after fard prayer.(9-13the zulhijjah)
